There were approximately 52.5 million fintech users in Italy in 2023. This is according to Statista's Digital Market Insights, which estimated that the digital payments segment of the fintech industry had 40.3 million users, making it the largest fintech segment in terms of user base. The digital assets segment counted roughly 7.57 million users, which was followed by neobanking, with an estimated user base of 5.82 million.
