Italy: attitude toward mobile finance 2023

The share of bank account holders who could imagine dealing with their financial transactions exclusively via their mobile phones increased overall in Italy between 2018 and 2023, albeit with fluctuations. According to Statista's Consumer Insights, 21 percent of the bank account holders found it possible to deal with their finances exclusively through their smartphones in 2018. By 2023, the share of respondents with the same attitude towards mobile financial transactions increased to 22 percent. This trend correlates with the increasing usage of mobile banking in the country.
