Number of female MPs in the UK parliament 1979-2019, by party
Of the 220 female MPs elected to the United Kingdom's House of Commons in 2019, there were 104 Labour MPs, 87 Conservative MPs, 16 from the Scottish National Party (SNP), seven from the Liberal Democrats, and 16 from other parties. By comparison there were just 19 female MPs in the 1979 parliament, eight Conservative and 11 Labour.
