This statistic depicts the percentage of cord blood units (CBUs) stored in U.S. cord blood banks (CBBs) by total nucleated cell count (TNC) for each unit from 2002 to 2016. According to the data, of all the CBUs stored in U.S. CBBs, 15.3 percent had TNC values greater than 1.75. In general, the higher the TNC value, the more likely a CBU is to be successfully transplanted into a patient.
