Nuclear power generation forecast in the UK 2015-2040
Electricity generation from nuclear energy in the United Kingdom is forecast to reach the record low in 2025, at 22 terawatt-hours. However, figures are expected to increase in the following years, and reach 53 terawatt-hours by 2040. At that time, nuclear power generation in the UK will be lower than in the first decades of the 21 century, when it exceeded 60 terawatt-hours.
