China is home to three of the best-selling beer brands worldwide. Snow, the top beer brand in 2014 is co-owned by SABMiller, the second-largest global beer company. This pale lager accounted for more than five percent of beer volume sales worldwide. In spite of this, SABMiller generated 16.7 billion U.S. dollars in sales that year. Fellow Chinese brands, Tsingtao and Yanjing, ranked second and fourth respectively. In 2014, China proved to be the world leader in terms of beer production, yielding 492 million hectoliters of beer. During the same year, about 49.39 billion liters of beer had been sold in the country. In the first half of 2015, the sales volume of beer in the nation amounted to approximately 24.23 billion liters.
Third runner-up Bud Light is a flagship brand of Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewery. In 2014, this light beer was the most popular brand in the United States. The following year, the Bud Light brand was valued at roughly 12.91 billion U.S. dollars.
