As of the financial year 2023, Debt- Voluntary Retention Rate (VRR) was the only instrument with a net inflow of 86.61 billion Indian rupees. Debt instruments had the highest outflow of 124.01 billion Indian rupees.

Starting from January 2020, a new category known as “Debt-VRR” was introduced. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) introduced the Voluntary Retention Route (VRR), a mechanism designed to facilitate Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) in making investments in India’s debt markets.

India's financial year begins in April and ends in March. For example, FY 2023 started in April 2022 and ended in March 2023.

One Indian rupee is equal to 0.011 euros and 0.012 U.S. dollars (as of April 2024).
