Wind energy pipeline in Latin America 2023, by status and country
As of December 2023, Brazil had by far the largest prospective wind power capacity among Latin American countries, with over 138 megawatts in the pipeline. Of these, roughly 6.8 gigawatts were already under construction, while 88.3 gigawatts were in the pre-construction stage. Chile and Colombia followed with a total of 22.8 and 12.3 gigawatts in the wind power pipeline, respectively.
