As of quarter three of 2023, administrative and support service activities was the economic sector which had the highest job vacancy rate in the European Union, at 4.1 percent. This was followed by professional, scientific, and technical activities at 3.9 percent, and construction at 3.4 percent. By contrast, mining and quarrying saw a job vacancy rate of only one percent in the same period.
