French opinion on Macron's majority after passing the immigration bill in 2023
According to a survey conducted on December 20. 2023, just after the French Parliament voted in favor of a new immigration bill, 65 percent of French respondents believed Emmanuel Macron and his majority were going through a major crisis, with his political coalition being fractured. Indeed, a significant number of deputies from Macron's own political coalition decided to vote against the text, or abstain from voting.
