Get in touch with us nowWith the next European Parliament elections occurring in June 2024, the policy priorities and preferences of EU citizens have increasingly come into focus in the run up to the election campaign. As the electorate for these elections is large and diverse - consisting of around 400 million voters from 27 EU member states - there is no single issue which is set to dominate the campaign in 2024. The issues which EU citizens were most likely to point to as their first priority in 2023 were the fight against poverty and social exclusion, issues related to public health, and policies of adaptation and mitigation to climate change. No policy issue gained more than 12 percent of the citizens' choices for the most important issue.
