Mental health expenditure as a share of government health spending in LatAm 2020
In 2020, Barbados allocated approximately 10 percent of its total government health spending to mental health, making it the country with the highest mental health expenditure relative to the total government health spending that year among selected nations in Latin America and the Caribbean. Antigua and Barbuda followed, with a mental health expenditure of around seven percent of the total government health spending recorded as of 2020.
