Natural gas rents as a share of GDP in Egypt 2000-2021
As of 2021, natural gas rents accounted for 0.45 percent of Egypt's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This represented a decrease from 0.8 percent of GDP compared to the previous year. Over the observed period, the rent of natural gas as a share of GDP was highest in 2006 at 2.5 percent of the GDP, while it was lowest in 2015 at 0.37 percent.
