Energy capacity outlook in Poland 2040, by source
Poland's electricity generation is forecast to be shaped largely by wind power.
The capacity of Poland's hard coal and lignite power plants is expected to fall to a combined six gigawatts by 2050. Meanwhile, solar wind farm installations would grow to 23.1 gigawatts and become the country's greatest energy source by nameplate capacity.
