Measles cases reported in Europe 2021 and 2022, by vaccination status
In 2021, over 51 percent of the reported measles cases in the European Economic Area (EEA) were among individuals who were unvaccinated, with a further nine percent of cases among those who had only received one dose of the vaccine. In 2020, around the similar share of cases were among unvaccinated patients, although in a further 18 percent of cases the infected person had only been vaccinated once.
