Brazil: impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on GDP growth 2020-2021
By December 2020, Brazil's GDP was forecast to decrease by 4.4 percent during 2020, an improvement in comparison to the 6.5 percent decrease forecast by the beginning of July. This figure, which had remained stable at a 2.3 percent forecast growth during the first months of the year, decreased for five consecutive months amidst the outbreak of COVID-19 in Brazil.
