Health spending in Ecuador as share of GDP 2010-2021
Ecuador's healthcare expenditure represented eight percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021. During the period depicted, health spending ranged from an equivalent of six to eight percent of the country's GDP. In comparison, that year Cuba's healthcare spending corresponded to 14 percent of its GDP, the highest value reported among Latin American and Caribbean countries.
