This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted in the United States in February 2017, by gender. U.S. adults were asked if they had the impression that they were prescribed a drug that they did not need. In total, 4 percent of female and 7 percent of male respondents indicated that they felt they were always prescribed a drug that they did not need.
