This statistic shows the main reasons luxury consumers in the United Kingdom purchase new items, listed by age group. As of the Deloitte survey (conducted in November and December 2014), 24 percent of luxury consumers in the 18 to 34 age group purchased items because they were on trend, compared to only seven percent of those in the 35 and older age group.
