School preparedness of children aged 3-5 in the U.S., by parents' education 2007
This statistic shows the rate at which preschool children aged 3 to 5 were prepared to start school with regards to reading, counting and writing, as differentiated by the highest level of education held by the parents. 80 percent of preschool children in the U.S. whose parents held an advanced degree, were able to count to 20 prior to starting school, showing a clear sign of school preparedness.
