Share of patients in mental health patients in Ghana 2020, by facility and diagnosis
As of 2020, the majority of patients treated in mental hospitals in Ghana were diagnosed with substance abuse at 42 percent. For inpatient and outpatient units, most of the mentally ill patients who underwent treatment were diagnosed with schizophrenia and mood disorders.
