Share of people who knew of the ineffectiveness of antibiotics against colds EU 2022
Antibiotics are medications that can kill or hinder the growth of bacteria which can cause infections in people and animals and are not effective against colds. In 2022, a survey on the topic of resistance to antibiotics, revealed that 62 percent of people in the EU knew that antibiotics were an ineffective treatment against colds. This statistic displays the share of people in EU27 in 2022 answering correctly when asked if they think that antibiotics are effective against colds.
