Freedom of expression score in the Central African Republic 2000-2022
The Central African Republic scored 44 points in the Global Expression Report (GxR) in 2022. This was five points lower than the previous year, when the country scored 49 points. Over the observed period, the freedom of speech and openness of the society was at its best in 2018, when it received a score of 55. Furthermore, the score was at its lowest in 2013, with 37 points. GxR ranks countries based on the openness of the society, with a higher score being given to countries with more freedom of expression.
