The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) was signed in 2021. It aims to make major investments in U.S. broadband, transportation, and energy infrastructure. The legislation designates around 64.41 billion U.S. dollars for projects relating to broadband access. Within this funding area, around 42.45 billion U.S. dollars are allocated for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program. An additional 14.2 billion is allocated to the Affordable Connectivity Program.
