Nuclear power reactors operating in the United States 2023, by net capacity
The United States accounted for 93 operational nuclear power reactors as of June 2023. In April 2023, the nuclear unit Vogtle 3 was connected to the grid in the state of Georgia, with a net capacity of 1117 megawatts electrical. Most of the nuclear plants of the country are located in the east and center of the U.S., except for Palo Verde (Arizona), Diablo Canyon (California), and Columbia (Washington) facilities.
