Based on a survey on Ramadan conducted in 2022, the share of Moroccan respondents who thought coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions would affect their ability to celebrate Ramadan was significantly lower than in 2021. In 2022, 14 percent of the respondents stated that their ability to celebrate Ramadan and Eid would be affected compared to 54 percent the previous year.
