U.S. share of apps used per month 2019-2021, by category
In 2021, mobile users in the United States interacted with gaming apps more than any of the other apps on their devices, as around 33 percent of apps opened by users during the last examined year were mobile gaming apps. Between 2019 and 2021, social media apps were the second app category users in the U.S. interacted the most with, reporting eight percent opens per month on average.
