Share of own-account and family workers in total employment in Africa 2000-2040
As of 2020, own-account and family workers in Africa covered 68 percent of the total employment in the region, decreasing from 71 percent in 2010. Moreover, on the condition that businesses would be carried on as usual, the share was further projected to fall to 65 percent in 2040.
