Contraceptive use among women in Mozambique 2010-2021
As of 2021, around 26 percent of women aged 15-49 years in Mozambique used contraceptives - either traditional or modern methods. Among Mozambican women who were married or in a union, the contraceptive prevalence was higher, at roughly 29 percent. On the other hand, 22 percent of unmarried women used any form of contraception. Overall, the usage of contraceptives in the country has improved, regardless of marital status.
