Views on the government management of violent conflict in Mozambique 2021
The majority of respondents in Mozambique (53 percent) considered the government has been handling very bad or fairly bad violent conflicts in the country. This share increased from 35 percent in 2018. Mozambique has seen the deterioration of an ongoing conflict in the northern province Cabo Delgado. Non-state armed groups are accused of perpetrating extreme violent attacks, including arbitrary killings and detentions, human trafficking, and kidnapping.
