Annual contributions of construction to GDP in Ghana 2013-2020
In 2020, the construction industry in Ghana contributed over 12.8 billion Ghanaian cedis (GHS), roughly 2.1 billion U.S. dollars, to the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In the previous year, around 12.49 billion GHS were registered. Within the period observed, the peak of the value added was achieved in 2018, at 13.1 billion GHS. Overall, construction is one of the leading industries in Ghana in terms of GDP contribution.
