Changes in offline shopping among consumers in Hong Kong 2020, by product category
A November 2020 survey revealed that most consumers in Hong Kong maintained or increased their offline purchases for consumer electronics and fashion items within the past six months, at respectively 71 and 65 percent. Meanwhile, just under half of the respondents shopped in-store the same or more for sports and fitness equipment. The same survey also revealed that a majority of respondents in Hong Kong still preferred shopping in physical stores in the past year.
