Public support for MLB moving All-Star Game out of Atlanta U.S. 2021, by politics
Major League Baseball decided to move its All-Star Game and draft out of Atlanta, Georgia. During an April 2021 survey on the subject, 45 percent of Democrat respondents strongly agreed with this decision, while only six percent of Republicans strongly agreed with it.
In 2021, the state of Georgia enacted a controversial voting law which made changes to how elections were administered, with some critics suggesting that the law changes made it more difficult for people of color to vote. In response to the backlash about the new election law,
