Main reasons for buying a product endorsed by influencers in Hong Kong 2023
Rakuten Insight in May 2023, a majority of respondents from Hong Kong who had followed at least one influencer on social media said that they had purchased the products endorsed by the influencer. About 51 percent of these respondents did so because they were convinced by the promotion from the influencer. The result showed that a slightly higher proportion of male consumers said that they would buy the product anyway without the endorsement and make the purchase solely based on the trust on the influencer than female counterparts.
