Changes in organic food purchases since COVID-19 in Ireland 2020, by gender
In 2020, a slightly larger share of men in Ireland, when asked during a survey, agreed with the with the statement that they have purchased more organic food since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Among the male respondents, 10 percent stated that they strongly agree with the statement above, whereas only 6 percent of the female respondents stated the same. Furthermore, a larger share of 19 percent of female respondents slightly disagreed with the statement, whereas only 15 percent did so among their male counterparts.
