Major occasions for putting on make-up in Japan 2020
According to a survey conducted in Japan in April 2020, the leading occasions during which women put on make-up was when they met or went out with female friends. While a significant share of 63 percent wore make-up when they met acquaintances of the same gender, only around one in three wore make-up when they met with male friends.
