Preferred accompaniment among truck drivers India 2020 by city
According to a survey conducted across on the status of truck drivers in India in February 2020, the trucks were driven alone by over 89 percent of drivers from national capital region of Delhi without a helper or co-driver while on their trips. Clauses like requirement of a co-driver and minimum education qualification had been relaxed by the government due to shortage of drivers and helpers across the south Asian country. Furthermore, driving with a helper directly impacts the earning of the driver since the expenses of the helper must be compensated with the driver's daily wages.
