Dominican Republic: number of violent deaths during Easter 2016-2019, by cause
From 2016 to 2019, the number of deaths caused by traffic accidents during the Easter holidays have increased in the Dominican Republic. In 2019, the authorities reported 30 traffic-related deaths, doubling the number registered in 2016. The number of drowning fatalities during the same holiday period have oscillated between three and five per year in the indicated period.
