Reducing power of elected officials for direct democracy via technology India 2019
Ipsos, around 30 percent of respondents in India strongly agreed with the statement that India should consider reducing the powers of elected officials so that the citizens could have a more direct say in how the country is governed, due to the digital revolution making direct democracy possible. This was higher than the total average of all the countries surveyed, which was at 54 percent.
According to a survey on the future of world order conducted by
