Cumulative emissions from major fossil fuel companies worldwide 1965-2020
The Saudi Arabian petroleum and national gas company, Saudi Aramco, emitted roughly 65 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (GtCO₂) between 1965 and 2020. The top twenty polluters were responsible for almost 520 GtCO₂ during this period, representing roughly 35 percent of global fossil fuel and cement emissions.
