United Kingdom: reduction in the number of ATM cash withdrawals 2018, by region
With the introduction of convenient cashless payment options, ATM cash withdrawals have declined. As of 2018, all regions in the UK registered a decrease in number of ATM withdrawals with an annual change of between two percent (Northern Ireland) and 8.5 percent (London). It can be seen that the trend was stronger in the southern part of the country with the South West, South East and London regions registering the highest drop.
