It seems that pay is the main reason for technology talent to reject a job offer, with 59 percent of respondents in a 2019 survey citing better pay at a competitor firm as the main reason that candidates declined an offer. The second most popular reason was the opportunity to be attached with a bigger and better brand name and reputation, cited by 25 percent of respondents.
