Amount Canadian digital buyers spend on local vs U.S.-based retail sites 2018
Canadian online shoppers are perfectly happy to shop across the border to score a good deal but will turn to domestic offerings for high-value orders. As of March 2018, it was found that 42 percent of Canadian online shoppers purchased lower-value orders worth less than 100 Canadian dollars from U.S. sites, while 39 percent of respondents purchased items over 500 Canadian dollars from domestic sites.
